ARSENAL: SMITH-ROWE REWARDED WITH ENGLAND INVITATION

Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe has been one of the best young players in the Premier League this season and his form has propelled the Gunners into the top five on the league table.

Smith-Rowe has been in red-hot form in front of goal for the Gunners since the start of the season and he has been rewarded with an invitation to the England senior national team squad ahead of the final two Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this month. Arsenal midfielder Smith-Rowe is now expected to make his England debut in one of the two qualifiers against San Marino and Albania as the 1966 World Cup winners bid to seal their place at the tournament in Qatar at the end of next year.

England will book their place in Qatar next year if they win one of the two aforementioned qualifiers from Group I of the UEFA qualifiers. The team take on the Albanians at the iconic Wembley Stadium later this Friday. Their final World Cup qualifier is at the home of San Marino towards the middle of next week.

Arsenal star Smith-Rowe is making a name for himself with his performances for the Gunners this season. He took his goal tally to five in all competitions and four goals in the Premier League this season with his goal against Watford on Sunday. Smith-Rowe scored the only goal of the game as Arsenal beat their London rivals 1-0 at home to move into the top five on the Premier League log for the first time this season. It has been a remarkable turnaround for the Gunners who were rock bottom after losing their first three games in the competition this season without scoring any goal. Arsenal now have the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League this season as they have not tasted defeat in any other last eight games.
