The Birmingham City manager was responsible for Rose's breakthrough at the north London club, and he believes that the 27-year-old should reconsider his statement, given the club are on the rise under Mauricio Pochettino, especially after they put through 2 signings (worth a combined £35m) on transfer deadline day.

Premier League side Arsenal quickly wrapped up the deal for SaedKolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette but the third deal for Thomas Lemar has been delayed thus far.

Coach Arsene Wenger admitted that he was interested in the Frenchman but refused to add anything more.

It increasingly seems that deal would not be completed this summer. There have been some reports that Arsenal were negotiating the huge transfer fee for the winger while some others claimed Monaco were refusing to sell more of its stars that earned them the Ligue 1 last term.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has insisted that England have plenty of leaders in their squad following his impressive captaincy debut against Scotland in a World Cup qualifier this month.

The Spurs striker was awarded the armband for the game at Hampden Park with Gareth Southgate yet to decide on who would be handed the permanent leader position.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is of the opinion that striker Andy Carroll has the capability to impress England manager Gareth Southgate anytime.

The striker has recently returned to form with four goals in as many appearances. Even though the former Newcastle United striker made his debut for the England national team back in 2010, he has only featured on nine appearances to date. He has not been the preferred choice for managers like Roy Hodgson and Sam Allardyce. This has resulted in Carroll last featuring for the England national team back in 2012.
